What Fitness Apps Do You Use?

A couple of days I read an article about the top fitness apps for 2019.  It got me thinking about what fitness apps do I use?

My first inclination was I don’t use any, but that is not true.  I actually use a number of apps, but the main objective when I use an app is to track what I am doing or what my body is doing.  I don’t use any app for advice or fitness plans.  Here is what I use:

  • Masimo Health – this syncs to their heart rate monitor and I use it to take my resting heart rate every morning along with some other things it monitors.
  • Apple Health – I use this to record my weight every morning.
  • Garmin Connect – this connects to my Garmin GPS watch to record my outdoor running workouts.
  • FinalSurge – this is a training log I use to record all of my running workouts, inside or out, it connects to my Garmin.
  • Strava – I don’t really use this but I have it on my phone and again it connects to my Garmin.  This is used just for entertainment purposes more than anything or if I am traveling and looking for good running routes.

There is something I like about having everything on paper.
