Best overall week in a long time. I got over 50 miles in and strength training. I would have like to have gotten a longer run in on Saturday but the heat combined with a strong effort made me decide to cut it short.
Sunday: Longer run on trails, 9.07 miles (1:16:21). This included 913 feet of elevation gain.
Monday: AM – 2.26 miles real easy (18:49). Legs were tired from run the previous day. PM: 5.32 miles real easy (41:50).
Tuesday: AM – Easy Trail run, 4.55 miles (38:16) with 419 feet of elevation gain. PM: 30 minutes easy (3.87 miles).
Wednesday: AM – Strength training, full body workout. PM: Tempo trail run. 2 miles at tempo effort, 1/2 mile easy, 1.5 miles at tempo effort. This was a tough workout as it was very hot. Total of 623 of elevation gain.
Thursday: Easy run, 7.15 miles (55:30).
Friday: AM – 2.34 miles super easy on treadmill. PM – Easy trail run, 5.29 miles (42:56).
Saturday: 1 hour tempo run, 9.36 miles.
