Finally a pretty good week but still not where I want to be. The big miss for me this week was missing my strength training day where I train legs. The probably with missing legs for me is the muscle soreness I will probably have to endure this week. I will just go light and keep my fingers crossed. The only other disappointment was the lack of a long run. I really need to start getting a long run in, but it is definitely the toughest to schedule with four young kids running around.
Without further delay here you go:
Sunday: Easy Trail Run – 5.41 miles (46:06). This was not a good run. It was hot and I did not have enough calories in me and I felt it. Had planned to go longer but bonked so had to cut it short.
Monday: AM – Strength training – back and biceps. PM – Easy Run, 6.28 miles (50:10).
Tuesday: AM – Easy Trail Run, 4.19 miles (35:27). PM – Easy Run, 5.2 miles (42:04).
Wednesday: AM – Easy Run, 2.58 miles (20:58). Strength training, chest, triceps and shoulders. PM – Easy run, 6.42 miles (50:44).
Thursday: AM – 30 minutes on stair-master. PM – Easy Trail run, 7.19 miles (58:06).
Friday: AM – Easy run on treadmill, 2.76 miles (25:00). PM – Easy run, 5.28 miles (41:03)
Saturday: PM – some speed work, 10 x 90 seconds hard with 60 seconds easy at around 10k pace give or take a bit. Just wanted to get my legs used to running a bit faster. Total with warm-up and cool-down was 6.21 miles (43:12).
