Getting in shape and setting Personal Bests is never easy, throw raising kids into the mix and it only becomes more difficult. That being said, I set my personal best in the marathon (2:44) while having four kids under 8 at home. I document the workouts I did, why I did them and how I did them. In my posts I explain my training cycle, both what worked and what I would have changed so hopefully you can take the good and leave the bad when you put your training plan together.
I am constantly tweaking and experimenting in the hopes of getting faster and I want to share those results with you. I want to find what works for me and be constantly refining, innovating and learning.
Training is more than just the culmination of workouts. With limited time it becomes imperative that we train as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality. In addition, we need to make sure we are doing the “other” things – strength training, eating correctly and recovering correctly.
